Title: 250gs stator

Should the stator in a 250 be wet with oil? The last owner put about a quart and a half more oil than he should. In replacing the stator due to a no charging problem the old one is wet with oil and I am afraid it blew a seal due to way too much oil. Thank you

Is the 250GS notorious for having issues with oil? I've heard a few stories like this.
