hey guys I got 2008 zongshen zs250gs my bike starts and runs idle but wont revv mor than 3000 I got told by a mechanic that it is the CDI units needs to be change?? or air leak around the intake to cylinder any ideas?

i had a talk to mechanic he recon it could be CDI, but I will give it a go what you said thanks for replying

My 250 Gs is giving me problem where it dies when hit 2500 revs even when it idle. Starts fine and you can ride under 2500 revs but as soon you try to increase throttle it will start dropping rpm until it dies. Someone said its crabs/fuel issue but I have cleaned the carbs change the fuel plus new spark plug but still the same. Please help me out cause its my ride to work and I need to going pretty bad lol thanks
