I've recently acquired a Zongshen 250 dirt bike in poor condition. One of the issues has been the absence of a regulator. I've purchased an aftermarket regulator that is specified for the Zongshen motor. It has the 4 pin connection and I can identify the R, G, W, Y that are to be connected (original plug missing). I can identify the green pin as the earthed pin, and anticipate that the pin that has no connection with the others is the red power out to battery. Looking at the connection (direct on the regulator), it looks like this
(W or Y) (W or Y)
__ __
R G

Am I correct, can anyone confirm this?
Cheers

OK. solved it. Once bike started I could check the charging voltage at the battery. Wiring as indicated for anyone else with this issue.

I was starting to think all newbie reports would involve getting robbed or nearly arrested. Lol
