i havent hit any bees yet but lots of bugs the other day,i took my bike to temple which is the city i work in to get my check and schedule, well it was such a nice day out i wanted to see what it would feel like on a normal day.so off i went in a pair of jeans and a shirt without a jacket! felt great for about the first 30 minutes sun shining down and a nice cool breeze, and then came the bugs on the country roads, wow ,when you hit a bug doing 75 that kind of wake you up really quick,[not that i was tired to begin with].Then came the gravel truck with the non closing tail gate! but im sure there is no comparison between bugs/gravel truck and bees,i can only imagine what that would feel like and i feel for you guy that had to hurt.

Quote from: "Myth"
Well I called the guy about my bike, he's kind of a mechanic... It's going to be another week or two... Bastards!

that sucks about your bike myth, what are they doing to it or "have they told you". i know half the mechanics i take my car to dont bother to say anything to you before they do it,and now it doesnt run . thank god my dad left me his truck .hey quick question for you guys ,you ever teach your freinds girlfreind to ride on your bike and she forget there was a clutch and shift without it? well i did and so did she! now the back tire of the bike makes a dragging sounds,i cant quite distinguish if its coming from the rear wheel or the trannsmission! So myth your really thinking about riding on the ice????? i dont think im ready for that yet,and i think it might be kind of helpful to have my license just in case,so hopefully by the time january gets here ill get off my butt and go take that class ,i hope!

i went through allstate with mine,my upfront cost was $51.00 and my monthly payment is 67.98 with full coverage.if i would have gone with liability only it would have been $44.58 a month. ive got two accident and about 3 or 4 speeding tickets on my record so it should have been a little higher but i told them i was going to take the motorcycle safety course so i got a discount on my insurance with saying that! Plus i was on my parents policy for a long time and they had theirs for about 30 or 35 years so that was an added discount as well!

i dont think my bike came with any kind of warranty or if it did i didnt get anything stating that it did,i have noticed the chain seems a little loose, there for a while it was kind of squealing but i soved that with a little 3 n 1 oil. at the moment i thought it would be a good idea to let the dealer do at least the first maintenence, just to make sure it was done right!! cause at this moment really the only thing i have figured out to do on the bike is adjust the idle, and oil the chain. But then again ive treid not to mess with it my self so it will stay running ,unlike my car lol

ok how bout those people that look straigh at you and either turn in front of you and when they see you stop dead across you lane and as you lock your brakes up trying not to hit them they look at you like its your fault,or the people that are in the lane next to you staring right at you in their sideview mirror and without signalin they start to change lanes  and come so close to hitting you you can smell the wax on their car!

I know what you mean about the smells on the bike! i was riding to work the other day.half way between home and work on a back road,i just so happened to pass a sewage treatment plant ,i never smell it in my car but wow that is a smell i could go the rest of my life without ever smelling again!!!

Sportbikes / Zongshen ZS250GS new owner
« on: October 30, 2008, 09:35:45 AM »
hey guys, im just bought my first bike and it just happens to be a ZS250GS. i think overall with it being the first bike ive ever rode it is a great bike! so i got my first 400 miles on it and the dealership said between 3 and 500 miles i should have the first servicing done. i asked him about how much it would costs he said 170 out the door.does this sound like a normal price to you guys or do you think im getting ripped off? the bike drives great, but the front brakes squeak a little and the back tire seems to be a little off center or maybe its just me. i am mechanicaly inclined as far as cars go but motorcycles are a new world to me and i would really like to not kill my first bike and i dont have an owners manual yet so i dont really know what is included in the first servicing,so do you think i should use the dealer ship or find another one that might know how to do the maintenence on this particular bike?

i just bought a zongshen zs250gs its an 06 model i only paid $2766 for it,ive topped it out at about 78 or 79 ,the tach said it still had plenty of room for it to go just like it hit the end of the power band! the dealership i bought mine from is called KOMOTO POWER SPORTS,they are a local dealership here in killeen texas . the guy that sold me my bike said he could modify the exhuast from a hyosung to fit my 250gs i didnt ask for a price or anything but he seemed very confident
