hey man i love how you customized your bike, and i dont want to be a copy cat but the other day i had to take all of the fairings off and i liked the street fighter look as well but didn't know how to just mount the headlights withiut the fairings. If you dont mind, could you please give me some insight on how you did that? also because our fairings are a piece if crap and some of it broke in the process of removing it.

no it couldnt be that because weve tried to start it with the stand up as well.. we know that since we can push  start it the spark plug and the wire is fine which also means the magneto is fine as well as the rectifier/regulator.. we looked at the wioring diagram andthe cdi is almost the only thing that the auto start needs that push starting doesn in order to run..

well i dont understand cause i can push start it some times and it will stay on which means theres spark but if i try to auto start it tthen im guessing there is no spark.. soo my guess is whatever i bypass by push starting is the problem cause im not using all the things that the autostart uses by pushing it.. soooo cdi or that rectifier or something along those lines?? i understand that it might not be the cdi but when u auto start it the cdi is what is used in the process of the auto start to get a spark correct?

i seem to have a problem with my gs250! After charging the battery the only way i can get it to start is by pushing it in 2nd.  Dont understand what the problem could be.I dont think it could be the starter cause i feel the exhaust pushing out air. What else could cause this problem?

Sportbikes / start up problems- red battery light
« on: July 26, 2009, 05:42:10 PM »
So I finally bought my first bike today and already have problems unfortunately. I bought a 2006 GS250 with about 3699 miles on it. When i first arrived to pick it up my friends dad fired it right up and he rode it, after he had riden the bike he shut it off so we could make the deal. After we got ready to leave, the bike would not turn over and the red battery light popped up. So we assumed the battery was almost dead so he push started it in 2nd and it turned on. we rode it home and after we got home i tryed to turn it back on but it kept clicking trying to crank over but the red battery light kept flashing.  So we push started it again and it worked but after we turned it off and tried to auto start it, it wouldnt crank over again. We then assumed the battery was dead so we jumped it with a car battery and it still wouldnt crank over so we push started it another time and it worked, although the battery light is still on. So if we push start it, it runs (not anymore since the battery is completely dead) but if we try to auto start it; the bike wont crank over. what do you think is the problem
