Okay people, I talked to Skadamo and he turned on our avatar's!  Now we can pick some sort of representaion of ourselves.  If you want an avatar and have any trouble setting it up, hit me up and I'll see if I can help.  Same thing goes for signatures...  I know, all they are, are little things to help us computer dorks feel a little more individualized.  But I also know I'm the only dork using them right now and that makes me feel a little too special.

So if  you need any help you can either respond to this or hit me up in PM.

Avatar: Check - I don't want to be too self promotional here, but the Avatar represents the run of Christmas on Mars I have secured - IA, IL & WI - 7 years in the making and I can't wait to see it!

Okay X....  I'm sorry, but I have no idea what you're talking about.   :?

My avatar represents one of my favorite bands...  It's Disturbed...  I cropped down the "Indestructible" album cover.   ;)   My MySpace avatar is the one off the "Ten Thousand Fists" album cover.  The dude just looks f*ckin' awesome!!!

It's the poster for the Flaming Lips film "Christmas on Mars".  I would compare the lips film efforts to those of other rock band gone film-makers: Pink Floyd (The Wall), The Who (Tommy), and The Beatles (Yellow Submarine).

It is self promotional in that I booked it in several theatres that I work for in Des Moines, IA, Moline, IL, Naperville, IL, Lake Geneva, WI, Whitewater, WI, and West Bend, WI.  f you are a small or huge Flaming Lips fan, or just like odd, psychedelic movies, then you should come out.

I did not want to get to detailed, for one due to the self promotional nature of this post, and 2, I think this may constitute a thread hijack.

You bastard...  Hijacking my thread...   )

BTW, I don't know that I've heard the Flaming Lips before...  I'll have to look into 'em.

Oh and I almost forgot...  Who cares if you promote yourself or what you do?  You are telling people something that they might want to know, and if you don't tell them, then you don't give them the opportunity to decide for themselves.  There may be people here who are interested in the Flaming Lips and you shouldn't not tell from worring about what people might or might not think.

Hopefully that didn't come out wrong...   :D

The flaming lips had a fair amount of radio play with songs like "She Don't Use Jelly" back in the mid-90's.  Most recently they have released "At War with the Mystics" and one of my favorite albums "Yoshimi battles the Pink Robots".

For a newbie to the Lips music, I would recommend trying "Soft Bulletin", or "Yoshimi" - they tend to be an acquired taste.

Its difficult to describe what I do - I work for Nova Cinetech, usually opening new theatres and introducing new concepts.  I just completed my second conversion of an old Vaudeville theatre from a cut rate - movie theatre, converted in the 80's, back into a live music theatre.  That was in Lake Geneva, WI - the first being in West Bend, WI.

Wisconsin has an abundance of really good local atrists such as:

http://www.myspace.com/stukenberg from Elkhorn, WI
http://www.jontroast.com/New_Site/index_new.html hometown of Lake Geneva
& finally a good friend of mine http://www.jaytamez.com/

There are thousands more, but those are a few of my favorites.

Additionally, I am slowly trying to launch a Technology company, which specializes in Point Of Sale systems, live event sound and lighting, and web design and hosting services.

So there is my bio - Tell me about yourselves.

Hell X, sounds like you got a pretty kick a** job.

As for me...  I program CNC machines.  CNC is Computer and Numerically Controled.  Have you ever seen Orange County Choppers or West Coast Choppers???  The machines that they use to cut the custom wheels are CNC machines.  They've showed some 3-D concepts on the computer and it was done in MasterCAM which is the software I learned on.  I basically play with a computer all day.  I program 6 machines... Do architectual drafting...  I investigate new tooling and processes...  I'm also in charge of a surveillence system that has motion activated cameras and motion tracking...  I've previously worked for companies as a CNC Machinist and made parts for airplanes and military vehicles...  And if a machine operator crashes a machine, I get to investigate what exactly happened and why.  And I then get to prevent the problem and in some cases get to fix the machine.

The company I work for right now makes industrial boilers and water heaters.  We make 'em for hospitols, schools, the military, and really and one who needs a large amount of hot water.

That about sums it up... :D

There's some shyt that requires a large amount of mathmatical knowledge.  But me being the lazy bastard I am, when I have to do some complicated calculations, I set up a speedsheet using the formulas so that I don't have repeat that process again.  From then on all I have to do is plug in what information I have and it'll calculate the things I want.   :D
