Is there anyone on these forums? if not i might just delete it and find a new forum because i thought forums were to get advice...
Well I took it into the shop, turns out there was some bad wiring that was causing the turn signals to take on extra power. Because of this they were in like a overcharge state and wouldnt work unless at high rpm's (so basically not at all). Cost roughly 300 to get new signals and wiring done. Works no problem now.
A 250 ninja is a high performance bike that performs better than a lot of bikes with nearly double its cc. It is banned as a learner bike in a number of countries due to its high power/weight ratio. His bike is probably a twin carb setup with a highly tuned engine. You wont keep up with your mates bike on a 250gs.
70 is a bit slow for this bike. Mine will do better than 85 , but not much more. 85 is about tops without mods.
A cb250 will be about the same as this bike I would think. Check the oil level in your gs after the dealer serviced it, i'll bet he's over filled the oil. That will detract from your performance for starters.
As for your dealer Go to someone else.
If you have a bit of bike experience then a 250gs will not be a grand experience. But as a preferred learner, first bike it does the job well.
Hey guys wondering if any of you have any guages from the 250 gs laying around im sure its doubtful but it doesnt hurt to ask, just let me know, milage is not an issue as long as they work. thanks
Hi, im new
I've had this bike for a little over a year and have had some problems with it. I know its probably what I deserve for getting such a cheap bike, haha. I just put a new battery in it and it won't start. the starter motor seems to be working fine but it doesn't seem to be catching to start the engine. Recently when im riding it will gradually loose power until it dies. The battery was dead at that point and that's why I put in a new one, but I haven't been able to get it started since. There is fuel in the tank and so it's not something obvious like that. ive also rebuilt the carb a million times and checked to make sure that all the hoses where on right there is a honey coat inside the carburator that wont come off even with carb cleaner im out of ideas!
Any help on what might be wrong with my bike would be much appreciate, thanks!
We're a Zongshen dealer here in California. Should anyone on the forum be in need of Zongshen 250 GS parts, give us a call. I do realize that they can be hard to find. If we don't have them in stock, we can find them for you. Also, we can ship them out to you as well. Ask for John.

Almost 2016, and my 2006 GS250 is still running strong, cross my fingers, but I have never had an issue with it. There isn't much talk about them anymore, anyone else still riding a GS out there?
